Master’s of Architecture thesis: National Technical University of Athens, Greece

Project: Interactive & Inclusive Playscapes in Drakopoulou Park: The Open Air School and its Networks, Athens

Description: The thesis explores an “open air school” playscape for children, integrated into a lively, interconnected urban network. It forms a triptych of park, education, and recreation, and includes the adaptive reuse of a workshop space, a kindergarten, and a public library, reflecting the site’s history as Athens’ first textile industry.

The design is structured around a weave of green space and a core educational landscape centered on urban gardens, defined by a continuous ramp that circulates the site and expands into a canopy that deconstructs into playful spatial elements, ensuring seamless accessibility throughout.
